Whether you hunt with a camera, gun
or bow, few other locations in the country offer the

moose, elk, black bear, mountain lion, and upland game birds. Outfitters in the
area offer guided hunts, or you can choose to go it on

popular sportsman's magazine, recently (June/July
2009 issue) characterized the Sheridan,
Wyoming area as a "paradise of the Rocky
Mountain West". They ranked it at #7 of
the 200 best towns for sportsmen in the
U.S. Their "OUTDOOR LIFE" report
card gave the area an "A" rating for the
following categories: Fishable Species
- Huntable Species - Public Land Access
